My crystal ball is on the blink, so:devon wrote:My PC just restarts for itself.. What's the problem with it? Do you have any ideas?
Make and model of computer?
Which operating system?
Does the screen show any error messages?
When it shuts down, how long before it restarts?
Some suggestions here as to what could be causing it and what to do to prevent it.
dave
You can always tell a Yorkshireman,
But you cannot tell him much.
But you cannot tell him much.

Re: keep on restarting
Has the computer had any knocks or bangs on it lately?
When it turns on is your fan making a very loud noise, like its working its butt off spinning?
On your monitor I'm assuming it has a little LED if so when you have the computer off is that orange but when you turn the computer on does it go green then pc restarts?
When did this start happening and what were you doing before it started happening?

Re: keep on restarting
Luke,
Forget it. It was a month ago and he doesn't seem interested in coming back. I think that after I answered his 'plea' for help, I checked with the mods and it looked like he was trying to get his post count up so that he could post spam. His IP address was somewhere way to the right on the atlas. You know what I mean.
Check his profile and look at his other posts, just a load of waffle to add to his posts.
dave.
ps.
