Hi chaps..

I have just bought a set of headhpones with a mic ...

The computer, is fairly new...im still running XP..

I have pink and green pins on the phones...

The computer has front and rear female connectors..I have my speakers plugged into the rear connection..so I decided to use the front connections for the phones...

Nothing...

I then pulled the speaker connection out and plugged my phones into the pink and grean...fine.

Is it normal that either one bank and not the other will work?...if so I guess I have some rewring to do..(if its possible???) or are there hardware settings I can adjust which will allow me to leave myspeakers plugged into the rear...and still use the phones from the front..

Cheers.. :thumbright:

Not sure if this will work in XP but try it.
This is what I found on Windows 7
On your computer search for the Realtek Audio manager.
If it shows, click Device Advanced settings
Put a dot next to "Mute the rear output devices when front headphone plugged in"

As I said, not sure about XP, but that is the sort of option you are looking for.
