I currently have a gas fire which is vented via a stainless filu that goes behind a hideous cotswold stone chimney breast and then through the lounge ceiling and vented through the roof ( bungalow)
I intend to remove the existing stone chimney breast and build a false chimney breast (wood and plaster board) and install a marble fireplace.
Is it ok to have such a combination ie fire and flue running behind a false chimney breast
