Fitting shelf

Post by Ke1th »

Hi.

I have a shelf to fit onto a tiled wall and I am wondering what kind of fixings you "pros" use. Behind the tile is plasterboard and I need the shelf to be fixed well, what do you recommend?

Thanks,
Keith.

Is it brick behind the plasterboard or a stud partition ? If brick then normal rawplug other wise there are several plasterboard fixing from Screwfix that will do the job. This is just an example

It is a stud partition. Those look like they'll do just the job!
Cheers for that!

OK it's not going to carry much weight, just a few toiletries but I want it fixed well as loose shelves is one of my pet hates! It would niggle me forever knowing it wasn't properly secure. Do you think I have a problem?  I normally fix everything to a wooden batton which sometimes involves removing plasterboard...can't do this with tiles though
