Need to find some small steel tee section
Post by Gary Huston »
Hi, I have to fabricate some windows for an old church and need to find some small tee section of about 16mm x 16mm x 3mm.
I need about 6 meters of it and didn't want to have to fabricate it from two bits of flat to keep costs down.
Does anyone know if it is available anywhere? So far I have found 20 x 20 x 3 which is just too big...

I think you've done well to find 20x20, smallest i have ever seen is 25mm.
Almost idown to modeling sizes there! Cant substiture for box section or angle?

heeelllooo and welcome Gary HustonGary Huston wrote:If I could use angle or box I wouldn't be asking would I!

may i respectfuly suggest when people offer solutions you try not to be so "sharp"
on this forum we treat all coming with respect no matter the question
you must remember that most dont realy know the best tool [fixing] for the job so we often think latterily to help the problem off course sometime our suggestions are not applicable but thats the way it is
we are all ------------------still learning

Sorry if I sound "Sharp" but I hate forums as they are usually full of do gooders who love the sound of their own voices but actually don't offer any real help.
I only use them as a very very last resort, after I have spent days trawling through the net and "thinking laterally" to no avail.
So I guess it's going to have to be fabricated.....
Thanks for the help

Well Gary, we are here to help.
Now, should i have read the beginning of your post properly, i would have seen that box or angle wouldn't be an option.
