sealing cutouts

hi all

what do you use to seal a sink cutout?
i rub silicone into the chipboard and can get alittle messy :-P is there any alternatives/tips you use

I use a small pot of polyurethane and rub it in with a rag.

Still same way that city&Guilds taught................neat PVA.

Yacht varnish would probably be the best thing.....although C&G used to teach PVA, it isn't waterproof.

However if you have water getting to the unprotected cuts then someone hasn't sealed around the sink properly, maintained properly etc.
