i'm putting in a new worktop in, the old one is 30 mm thick the new one 38mm so the new worktop won't fit under the tiles is it ok to just butt the worktop up to tiles?

Hi Juandan,

Yes that will be fine although you may want to put a trim along the back edge against the tiles.

is it best to fit the sink and tap to the worktop before I put the worktop on the sink unit as I don't have allot of room to work in un the worktop, the only problem is running a bead of silicon along the worktop i'm a bit hinderd by the tap

Hi juandan,

You can do it either way really obviously fitting the sink to the worktop first is easier for access to the sink and tap fittings, i would lay the worktop in position first cut to the right length then mark out sink position, remove and cut in new sink with fittings then refit.
Hope this helps

Thanks Leebwk I thought it was easier fitting the sink first, only problem I had with that is I couldn't get a strait run with the silicon gun because of the tap, still you can't have it to easy can you :-) Thanks for your help
