Basically, no you cant. Ready mixed (Dispersion) adhesives are air drying, relying on the gaps between the tiles allowing air to get to the adhesive to allow it to dry before you can grout. Cement based adhesives cure by chemical reaction and therefore cure much faster. What size and type of tile are you fixing and to what substrate?
