Premiership predictions next season

Post by mg1prg »

What's everyones predictions for the Premiership next season?

Here's my top 5 and bottom 5 (can't be bothered doing the full table!)

1. Man Utd (They're on a roll and the new players will strenghten them)
2. Liverpool (think they'll have a bit extra next season)
3. Chelsea (I don't think they'll play badly, just don't think they have much more to offer than this season)
4. Tottenham (the new signings planned this summer defensively on top of great attacking options means I think they'll just pip Arsenal, but it'll be close)
5. Arsenal (It'll be a battle like two seasons ago, but this time spurs may just do it, especially with no Henry now..)

16. Reading (2nd season syndrome, but they won't go down)
17. Middlesborough (Lost some good players and don't think their manager is that great!)
18. Fulham (poor squad, not great football, don't think they'll be strong enough
19. Wigan (got rid of a good manager, replaced him with an average one, and bought average players)
20. Derby (haven't got enough prem quality to stay up)

Tottenham in the top 4. You're having a laugh. Top half MAYBE.
I don't think Reading will get second season syndrome. They have history of improvment on the Year before. I think in the top 10 again, maybe even Europe.

why not.. spurs finished 5th two seasons running now and arguably the squad has improved even further this summer. On top of that, Arsenal's has become worse!

I do like Reading, but just have this feeling about 2nd season syndrome.. teams will know how they play now and will adapt and not go in complacent against them - plus they've lost Sidwell who was great for them.. well we'll see, who knows.. it's just that so many clubs have suffered the same problem - Ipswich, Wigan, West Ham...

I know what you mean, we've been hearing for the last few years that they have a team to win the premiership. Depends on who else they buy really in addition to Torres (and Heinze ::b) and where they play Gerrard
