Whats the best non contact volt stick you can buy ? was wanting the best , is the fluke one the best?

I rememebr screwfix selling the original voltstick but they dont sell it now and no one else does either as far as i can see

Was plastering up some holes in an old church as one room had been re-wired and the sparks had left in the old wires etc so when i was plastering one was live and im a very lucky boy as luckily i had a marshalltown trowel with zee rubber handle ! another good reason to buy one of these trowels even with the wet plaster over the wires and sizziling away the fuse didnt blow as some donut had replaced it with something other than fuse wire.

Hi ya tinman I have used various voltsticks and have found the Fluke Voltalert 1ac-e 11 the best on the market sensitivity range from 200 - 1000 volts ac it automatically tests its self every couple of seconds and switches off after 5mins if not used ,When in proximity of live cables makes a audible noise plus only cost about £17
