Florabest electric chainsaw from Lidl

Post by Eccles »

At £50 this is real bargain and you get 3 year guarantee too. They do say that it is not intended for trade use but it easily took care of my old apple tree (trunk dia. about 35 cms). Motor is 2.2kw and it must have some sort of automatic dog clutch because the chain does not start running until the motor is up to speed. This also means that if you are working it too hard so that the motor speed drops, the chain just stops running. It seems significantly lighter than my old B&Q job and does not use as much oil which I always regarded as a fault with the B&Q saw. The blade length is 40 cms so it should take care of most home/garden jobs. By the time you read this, there may not be many left in Lidl stores but they usually repeat this kind of thing about every 6 months so keep your eyes open if you are disappointed this time round.

At that price it sounds like a real bargain.

I'll keep my eyes out for one of those in future :thumbright:
