Re: advice on fitting kitchen please
I would fit the units first and then tile to just under the kickboards of the units. Its a waste of money to tile the entire floor because no one will ever see the tiles under the units. Hope this helps

Whether you tile complete or just lapping under the units is personal preference. personally I prefer to do the whole floor. Size of the area also comes into play. On a working level I have found that the only clients who would tile complete were the ones who were paying 15K plus for their kitchen units and installation cost.
Just done one where they had more spaces for appliances than actual units, so it would have been cheaper to tile the whole floor, taking labour costs into account. In tiling the whole floor you also have the advantage of being able to alter the kitchen later on. Again have just had this scenario where they changed a 450 dishwasher for a 600.
Normal run of the mill clients having off the shelf kitchens would normally only have tiles lapping under the plinth as it keeps the budget cost down.

Re: advice on fitting kitchen please
We have just fitted our kitchen (we are novices!!) and we tiled most of the floor and then put the units on top. Where the dishwasher, washing machine and cooker are we tiled completly. Where the units are we tiled just under the plinth. This meant that even if we made a mistake with measurements we would not see the concrete floor!! It helped us because we did not have to cut those tiles we used full sized tiles. It did mean that the units were slightly higher (10mm), we had to be careful not to drop tools on the tiles whilst building the units plus as fin says the units was a bit of a fiddle to get the units level.

no lol what was a pain was the plinths. as they need to rest against the lower part of the legs. but this part of the legs was beneath the line of the tiles. so i had to make up some packing pieces to set the plinth square
