BT Dropwire Connections

Hi
I live in house built in the 1930's that when we moved in 5 years ago or so was infested with many telephone points and extensions, over time I have sucessfully removed
most of them and tidied things up somewhat. I am concerned about the small box ( BT16 I believe ) attached to the outside wall where the BT dropwire terminates.
Inside this box is a "chocolate" block type terminal block wired as follows ( see picture as well )
Dropwire-- Cable going to Master Socket
Black-----White with Blue stripe
Green-----Blue with White stripe
Orange----White with Blue stripe
White-----Not Connected
Is this correct ? from what I have seen posted elsewhere on this site I would expect to be using just the Black and Green wires.
Should I just remove the orange wire ?
Thanks for your help
John
