Removing Tiles - bathroom (timber home)

Im starting to remove the bathroom tiles and like other postings they are stuck fast and is taking me ages per tile, plus its removing the plaster with the tile in alot of the places down to what looks like paper which im guessing is the plaster board. The house is a timber house so no brick walls, it is safe to use one of these SDS drills on this type of wall/build? Im guessing its best to get the walls replastered once the tiles are off
Thanks

If it is plasterboard then you may as well go at it like a man possessed. chances of taking tiles off and leaving the plasterboard in a good enough condition to tile onto again are pretty much nil.
Rip the whole lot down and put up new plasterboard and tile straight onto it. After priming and checking it can take the weight of your tiles, of course.

Thanks for the prompt reply :) - if i take the plasterboard off im guessing that would show me the house frame, the cavity gap and then the outside cladding, would this need to be resealed in any way would you know?

Hmmmm There are various ways of doing them, however it would most probably show the framework, insulation, membrane on the other side of the insulation and then you would have your exterior boarding the other side of the membrane.
It could also be that your internal walls have 2 layers of plasterboard so it forms an hour fire rating between inside the house and the frame work.
depends on the house construction, when it was built, where and any relevant building regs at that time.
Close it back up the same way as it is at the moment.

The house was built late 1960's and im sure it wouldnt have two layers of board as the insulation is non existant (which i need to get sorted - I have posted in general diy). Im not sure if i will pull the whole thing off as this is beyond my skill level and its a small area it will be hard to find anyone who would come out to do this or just charge a fortune. I have seen a couple of tile removing tools which are a few quid so i will try these first, failing that try a sds which a mate says i can borrow next time he is over or failing these find someone to pull the boards off and start again - things are never easy :(
