polished limestone floor tiles

Can anyone tell me, if there is a specific set spacing between polished floor tiles? I have heard, that for best results you have to lay them close as possible-is this true?
I would be very grateful for some advice...Thanks!

Minimum recommend is 3mm on floor tiles
