oak worktop

Post by scotty 82 »

hi all

when i fit a laminated worktop i all ways do a mason mitre an look's the job,
but i've got a solid oak worktop to fit this weekend an was thinking about doing a straight butt joint cos think it will look better.
Do any of you do this or do you still mitre the worktop.

i would go for the butt joint with the bolts, biscuits and plenty of waterproof pva to seal the end grain
i have done it two other ways tho which is awkward to explain but actuaaly not hard to do
will draw a diagram and post later tonight for you
