currently fitting a kitchen and im ready for the worktops.
ive fitted loads of kitchens before. but never had to but 2 worktops together due to not being able to obtain a worktop long enough.
ive already cut the massons mitre joint.
is it just a case of using the router to get a good clean square edge and bringing the 2 together with clamp bolts?
perhaps using biscuits aswell?

Re: joining worktops together
yeah basically as you said
i use the edge of the jig as my edge, 3 bolts and biscuits
ive had a few before that have been a pain in the but to look right, and try not to overtighten the bolts as it creates a bump in the top and it sticks out a mile, ive done it twice now

Had a similar problem 8 yrs ago when doing the kitchen in my (now ) ex wife's house. The way the kitchen was planned meant buying a 4.2m length of worktop for one run. Across the end of the kitchen, I only needed a 1.8m length. Had to fork out on 2x 4.2m lengths as the supplier didn't supply shorter lengths of the worktop she had picked. £95 a pop too, so over £180 just for worktops.
