Unibond rapid set ultra flex not setting
We are having the floor laid in a newly built extension but the Unibond rapid set ultra flex is not setting. It is over the top of electric underfloor heating mats and has set around the edges but not set over the matting. Any ideas?

Re: Unibond rapid set ultra flex not setting
It could be because of the temperature of the room.
Most adhesives will not work below a certain temperature.

Re: Unibond rapid set ultra flex not setting
Did they cover the heating mat with self levelling compound before tiling? Cover the heating mat with tile adhesive before tiling? Put the heating mat down and then tile straight over it?
I rather suspect from the fact they use Unibond products that they have just whacked the mat down and then laid the tiles straight onto it. If so, then the adhesive bed is probably thicker than the manufacturer recommended depth limit and this is why it is taking so long to cure.
