parallel lights

Post by eaglebird »

If I've got a single light fitting controlled by a 1 gang switch, is it ok to add another light fitting in parallel to the existing one, so as to provide additional light in the room?
Silly question, but just want to confirm it's ok to do this.
Cheers.

Yes, that should be fine, you can just wire the new light up to the neutral and switched live on the existing ceiling rose
