well thats what i m not sure so what i was thinking to lay a plywood (may be 12mm) and then on top underlay and then on top solid wood floor in this case i m adding cost of plywood, or other options if it is good enough to do glue. but again i m not sure about that i even have a DIY book but it explain solid wood floor in few lines and you have to nail thats all nothing els how where and what type nothing (waste of money on that book)

Have a look at the post that honeymonster answered yesterday, he has shown you what you need. You lay the floor as a floating floor and so fit the underlay and then lay the wood pieces ontop of this and when you join them use glue and the clamps to clamp it together. Leave en expansion gap around the room as specified by the flooring manufacturers. Check with the manufacturers and see what glue they recommend.

i m from Ireland and i can not fine that self adhesive underlay here not even in b&q and the only options left is the glue planks together. but what about first plank? do i need to glue that under to stick with underlay ( as they show in B&Q DIY vide). and underlay is just a soft underlay some foam.

We have just had a solid wood floor onto concrete and it was glued into place.
First they sealed the concrete - to stop moisture and make a good bond for the glue. can't remember the name of the stuff, but it dried into a blue glass like covering. left it to dry over night then glued the boards down.
I was told (by a number of suppliers) that if you have engineered board you float it, but solid is glued.
It's not moved!
