Post by Johny »

I'm replacing one 2-way switch but the existing wiring is different to that advised in the instructions, should I keep the current arrangement or change it? Please help.. Thanks.
Switch 1: Red L1, Yellow L2, Blue L3 (replacing this one)
Switch 2: Blue L1, Yellow L2, Red C

Is there an L4 in your existing switch that's not used?

Connect it up as per your old switch, there is probably a reason why the person who connected it did this, you might have a problem if the old and new switches are internally different but it will only be with the strapping cables not the common terminal .

If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL
