John Carr Replacement Drawer Carcass

Post by northwales4u »

The lady over the road has a John Carr kitchen (fitted about 20 years ago) and the front of the drawer has snapped off the carcass.

Does anyone know if you can buy replacement carcasses for John Carr kitchens or is there a standard replacement that will do?

excuse my fantastic description but its the type there the drawer from has two small plastic clips attached to it (the height and width of the drawer sides). These small clips are pushed into the cavity of the drawer sides and lock into place. Its just that the ends of the cavity bit on the sides of the drawer carcass have snapped. I will try and get there tomorrow but if she will let a single man into her house with a camera might be a different matter

in all fairness your better off just going to band q and buying a new draw box ok so it wont match but it would be quicker than trying to find one of those plastic ones!

I did do a quick search of the net and there is one site selling carcass drawers for £14

I was just hoping there was a simple way of just buying a direct replacement, screwing the old door front on and then its job done

This is the cheapest way http://www.screwfix.com/prods/16338/Kit ... er-Sys-450 You cut the drawer base and back to suit and screw the front clips on.
