You guys have made it look easy for Andy, How would you suggest I go about making something like this?
I am not to sure about my angles, my porch is 5ft out by 6ft wide.
Cheers

Pretty much the same way that Andy did his.
Nail a wall plate to the top of each wall and then decide what pitch you want the roof to be and instead of fastening a piece of timber horizontally at the top, fasten two pieces that come from the wall plates where they meet the wall (these will meet in the centre of the porch on the house wall) and then mitre two more pieces of wood to go to each corner of the porch from the centre where the other two pieces meet on the house wall.
Hope this makes sense.

Wall Plate = Bit of Wood! 100mm x 75mm or 125mm x 100mm
This needs fixing to the brick wall using a wall plate strap (min length 1000mm)
Note no scale used, you may require additional Trusses and or Slate Batons.

Thanks for the good drawing Allan
I was going to do one much less impressive in paint, but you beat me to it
