John,
Run Ccleaner first to clear out your temp files etc and other crap.

Run a scan with your UPDATED antivirus program.

Run a QUICK scan with MBAM and/or SAS

Do a Defrag

Run Windows task manager (alt-ctrl-del) and look for the application that shows high numbers in the 'CPU' column. Post the name of the program that it's associated with. I'm guessing Acrobat will be the culprit.

Under Application.
Resource monitor, Skype, Uhm is running.

In processes.

iexplore.exe uses the must but only when I'm doing something.

Performon goes high ish.

AVGdump is high ish when it shows, not always there.

CPU Usage is around 5% when idle then it jumps up to 100% when I get stuck in and freezes.

Tried downloading ccleaner and it freezes.

Got the computer at home for now if you need more info.

Remember it's windows 7 and I'm not familiar with yet.

As an example I scrolled down in uhm and usage shot up to 58%

Update.

Run mBam and removed 5 low threats.

Run Ccleaner and removed about 3500mb  mostly ie stuff.

Turned the thing on this morning and opened up uhm, cpu usage gradually got to 100% and the computer froze.

Had to turn the power off to shut down.

Re booted and had IE open but doing nothing, CPU usage climbed to 100% after about an hour, close IE and it was going from 5-100%

Just had a avg threat blocked "nonjun.com/oh/stat.htm" Exploit JavaScript Obvuscation (type1450)

In details its shows something to do with svhost.exe.

Any tests or information you guys want.

CPU usage just shop up to 100%, not being used or touched, only program open is task manager.

Latest update.

Re scan found no threats, and the CPU is jumping up and down with use but not flat lining at 100% any more so may have found the problem.

I'll give it some heavy use later, and leave it running to see what it does.

John,
One way to quickly open the Task Manager is to right click on the taskbar and click Start Task Manager.
I have both Firefox and Palemoon browsers open at the moment and they are using 0 in the CPU usage and showing 128,484K for Firefox and 173,728K for Palemoon in the Memory Column.

Did you run your AV program?
What was it that found the Trojans?
