that's odd if it does it with a corded mouse
does just the mouse freeze or the whole system? i.e. try using the keyboard or pres ALT+ TAB to sysle through windows to test

My Xp does the same and I'm pretty sure it's spyware doctor. it's certainly a lot faster when disabled.

Nope, I'm using the original 386 BC
