Hmmm! Must have been a virus!

Post by gas4you »

Had a strange one the other day. PC was running slow so re-booted.

Just before it all went off, got a blue screen that said something like 'Dear Dad, Jim here' and some other text, but as it only lasted at the most 2 seconds didn't have time to read any more.

Quickly (well took ages) ran a full Kaspersky scan, then ran a full MB scan, but neither flagged anything up.

Went onto F-secure and ran their internet scanner, still nothing picked up.

PC working fine now, but it must have been something, but where did it go?

I'm fairly certain my PC is locked down as well or if not better than most, but just before this I was searching 'mobile phone hacking' sites :dunno:

Anyone else had or heard a similar tale of woe?

Proberbly just a popup, it's getting more common for them to look like windows, word docs, letts, goats, etc.

Works too, obviously :huray:
