Tiling directly onto brick or add aquapanel

Hi

I need to add a shower into a room. The two side walls will be completely new, so will be built from studwork and aquapanel. The backwall is currently a bare brick wall, which is beautifully laid with clean, sound, dry bricks. (It is external cavity wall if that makes any difference). Can I tile directly to brickwork or should I aquapanel the back too?

Thanks in advance.

Stan

I'm sure you 'can' tile brick but, personally, I'd aquapanel it mate. Don't think you can just dot and dab it - so I'd mechanically fix as well. If the whole enclosure is aquapanel, you're just not going to get any problems :thumbleft:

I would also go with Aquapanel. Have a look at this http://www.teachmediy.co.uk/NetsiteCMS/ ... panel.html

Thanks for your comments - much appreciated. Looks like more aquapanel then.
