autoCAD

hey folks
i am an apprentice carpenter and have done some basic AutoCAD in app' college.
i woud like to get autoCAD n start designing projects and my own structures
saw this online and would like to know what ye think of it?

It won't mean anything to me, ( I just nail it all together somehow) but there are freebies out there to try first if cost is an issue.

If it's for your own personal use only then go for something that is cheap (free) and easy to use. Many people use Sketchup (I do) as it is very versatile, full 3D without being difficult to learn or use and can output 'proper' drawings when required.
An advantage is that there is a whole heap of library designs online for anyone who just wants to use a simple design.

just gota spend some figuring out how to use it... and find the library of designs online!

There are hundreds of videos on youtube showing how to use Sketchup
