worktop joints

Hi guys,
a couple of years ago i invested in a good worktop jig n router and since then have fitted quite a few worktops, however, on a few occasions i get the old problem of a cupped worktop which without changing the top causes the obvious joint problems. knowing there is no way im gonna straighten one of these i've allways kept the surface joint at the front and center flush leaving a slight mismatch at the back so that it is not noticed as much.( i allways explain to the customer what the options are before continuing) my question is to any kitchen fitters or carpenters as to any tricks of the trade i have'nt thought of. any ideas appreciated.
Thanks.
