starter chord problem on ryobi blower

Post by onetruth »

hi there!

i bought a ryobi pbv30 blower a couple of months ago (stupidly got an ex-display model and now can't return it). unfortunately the starter chord isn't recoiling and i just can't work out how to get into it to reset it!

does anybody know how to do this?

could be one of many things

return spring/mechanism not working
cable twisted /bunched snagged /broken

no expert but if you lucky the cord or wire has become tangled inside preventing retraction and will just be a case of loosening a small tangle and it will work
we are all ------------------still learning
