How can i make the edge of a row of tiles (brickwork effect so some tiles will be cut, and not done yet) look good without having to use a plastic tile trim. One end of the tiles will be against a cupboard its just the exposed end that i want to make good without the need for trim or is trim the best way to go :help:

personally i hate the look of corners/tops/ends where people just run their fingers across the grout or with decorators calke. trim it and have a neat edge.

i tend to try to use silver trim and i find that catches peoples eyes rather than them seeing the cuts of the tiles where you have to.

Go for a square edged trim which will give you a cleaner sharper looking edge rather that a bull nose/half round trim

i agree, and if you use schluter trim http://www.schluter.co.uk/tile_trim.aspx ,you can use the manufacturers corners, as opposed to sharp metal mitres.

Good info C.R. and M3, I always used and disliked look of bull nose but have better ideas now.
