Hi all, popped into wickes and notices two types of floor tile adhesive, one rapid set general and one more expensive one for natural stone and porcelain, will the cheaper one make any difference or does it have to be the £20 per bag stuff? Also can I dot and dab the tiles down or does it need to be a raked bed of adhesive? Cheers

you will need a WHITE rapidset FLEXIABLE adhesive for this type off tile....why??...so you dont get any bleeding through the tile..i.e...the tile absorbing the adhesive, thats why the above.
and NO you cant dot/dab the bloody tiles, this will leave voids/weak points under the tile,so they will crack/break etc under traffic...
imo buy a decent adhesive for the limestone....mapei/ardex/weber/bal
dont forget to seal them also at least two coats....
as for coverage.. then comb the floor, then back butter the tiles..this way you ensure 100% coverage.
