Hi, I have tiled worktop and splashback, is it difficult to remove both, is it likely to be an expensive job? anyone got any photos, would like a granite type look but cant afford the real thing or wood would look ok thanks........

You should be able to remove the tiles with either a hammer and bolster or a small kango or SDS breaker and a wide chisel. A messy job and be careful of chips from the tiles, wear goggles and gloves.

The splash back should come away from the wall with a hammer and bolster but bear in mind if the wall is plasterboard then this will get damaged. If the tiles were not very well installed then you may be lucky and they will come away easily and leave no damage to plasterboard.

The worktop will more than likely be screwed down from the underside of the units. Locate the screws and it will lift away as a complete section.
