Are there any problems with the site? I keep getting this problem quite frequently now and it just totally stops me dead in my tracks.

I will be browsing the site and it just times out, page can't be displayed.

These are the things I've checked:

1. Different laptop (tablet and laptop computer - differnt devices, different OS, different browsers)
2. Different internet connection: Home, hotels, 3G
3. Tried pinging UHM server when this happens - no response, all ping attempts timeout (do it now and it replies with a 67ms response, not too shabby considering where I am)
4. Route my traffic through through a different country (I can VPN into just about any country in the world via work, which gets me new DNS servers, gateway, etc) - same problem
5. Shouted at the laptop

Does this happen to anyone else? Last night, I had to resort to going outside...OUTSIDE!!!!!!

PS...this seems to happen when I post a reply to something, but not always.

Not sure what to suggest

sometimes this happens to me... I thought it may be hitting a bandwidth limit on the hosts because it stops responding for a few seconds and seems to come back fairly fast.

Root is probably talking about this.

Been good as gold lately.

Next time it happens, I'll record the time/date/timezone I'm in and collect all the tracert info, etc so we can see if it's just me or a hop along the way.

Drives me mad....normally when I'm right in the middle of a juicy thread like the bathroom one.... :(
