Re: makita bundle or not to bundle ?
Personally I didn't bundle. As joiner I don't feel much need for an angle grinder, I've tried the cordless recip saw and I wasn't impressed (low battery life, insufficient "grunt" for some tasks, batteries get really hot so you'll risk frying them if not careful, no orbital cutting action, etc) - partly because when I use recips it's for hours at a time (dismantling), and lastly I'd rather have one of the higher spec impact drivers than the basic one that goes into the kits. Instead I bought the LXT600 case (26in) empty and added my own stuff to suit my needs, e.g two drills, circular saw, jigsaw, lamp (really useful, you'll never know what you did without one), SDS, etc. And I'm still buying. so I'll need an extra bag soon (probably the smaller LXT400/22in) to carry more tools.
