i have a wall with what looks to be a raised blob of plaster which has been painted over. basically i want to get rid of it so i can have a flat wall ready to re-paint. the blob is probably pollyfiller. would an electric sander be able to file down this type of surface? i want to check on this before purchasing a sander...!

thanks

Depends what you mean by 'blob' how big is the 'blob'?

A big blob could probably do with surforming prior to sanding.

Perhaps I'm digressing somewhat, but here in the NE, a 'blob' is the vernacular for a condom!....just thought I'd mention it!..

Strange that in Essex 'Blob' means menstruation. For example 'on the blob'

Sorry ladies
