Dunlop tanking kit

I'm about to fit a shower tray into a corner position, and have had the Dunlop tanking system recommended by a friend; It sounds fairly straightforward, except for the sealing of the joint between the top edge of the shower tray and the wall. I would assume that I perhaps mark where the edge of the tiles will come on the tray top, and run some masking tape along that line, and then apply the waterproofing and tape to the tray top on the wall side of the line. Is this correct? as it seems a very narrow fillet of tape to do the job.
Also, what adhesive should I use to fix 330mm x 250mm ceramic tiles to the waterproofed wall? and what grout do you recommend?
TIA

I don't use Dunlop but it is probably the same as most others in that you can run it onto the tray and then cut it back afterwards.

Cement based adhesive, so bagged and not ready mixed tub adhesive.

Bagged grout also.

Use quality materials such as Bal, Mapei, Nicabond.

Used the Dunlop kit a few times and it's fine.......and appears exactly the same as the BAL shower kit with a different name on it.
