Donnas Dream house charity
Donnas dreamhouse
As everyone is aware the forum is free and always will be free but some people do appreciate the help and often want to make donations. I'm not keen on many charities as many are large corporations who's directors earn hundreds of thousands of pounds per year. recently I was watching TV and saw a brief clip of Donnas Dreamhouse which is a charity that looks after terminally ill children and their families. This charity passes on a huge amount of any donations to the people who need it.
When I checked out their website I was disgusted to find out that someone had broken in before Christmas and set fire to the place which has ruined many Christmas wishes for terminally ill children.
I was going to suggest a forum whip round but then it would be difficult to claim back the gift aid, which I believe you can do if you donate via their website-
http://www.donnasdreamhouse.co.uk/
The donation page is here- http://www.donnasdreamhouse.co.uk/#/ple ... 4529684719
I will be contacting them soon to make a donation on behalf of the website.
Please donate if you feel this is a worthy cause.
Also as this post cannot be replied to in this forum please discuss it here-

Re: Donnas Dream house charity
Thanks to all of the forum members that have donated to the Donna's dream house charity.
I'm very proud that so many people have donated from here and helped out
This site is now a Donna's dream house sponsor and will help them out whenever possible.
Below is a thank you letter from them and also a framed thank you certificate.

Re: Donnas Dream house charity
Recently a few forum competition prize winners chose to donate the value of their prizes to Donna's dream house, this amount was then rounded up to £100. This will hopefully help them out a little and will help towards giving a sick child a holiday
Thanks to all forum members who have donated to this worthy cause. The last time I spoke to Len (Chairman Trustees) he said that their site had received a large amount of hits from this site

Re: Donnas Dream house charity
Another donation was recently made on behalf of the forum members. Some members generously donated the value of their competition prizes to Donna’s Dream house.
I can’t remember all the members that have donated their prizes to DDH, but I am sure Bikergirl did recently, I apologise if others have and I can’t remember their usernames. Special thanks go out to Transitboy who won a high value prize and donated the value of it to DDH

Re: Donnas Dream house charity
I’ve been so busy for the last few years that I forgot all about Donna’s dreamhouse!
A few days ago, I remembered and made a donation on behalf of the forum of £1000
Thanks to OnlyMe, who called in at my house one day when passing, as he kindly gave me £50 to pass on to Donna’s dreamhouse.
Here is the thank you letter from Len, Babs and the trustees
