Hello all,

I've attempted to move all the data on my old windows laptop over to my new Mac using a ethernet cable and migration assistant.

Both computers seemed to acknowledge each other and the migration took 7 and a half hours to complete, both computers said that the migration was successful.

On re-starting the new Mac I can find Nothing transferred???? ....anybody know where all this data can be found on the Mac???

If you go into the Finder and sort by "most recent" you should have a list of files that were most recently added to the mac. Did this help?

I tried that on a windows only system recently and gave up as it was far too slow
Dont know about macs also but on windows 7 I have a homegroup wireless network setup so you can send data to another computer works fine
I think you need a crossover cable :dunno:
