Hello. Im currently decorating my bathroom and am preparing the walls around the bath, (which will have a shower ), for tiling. The walls will be plaster board. 1. Should i use moisture resistant board or normal if its being tanked? 2. If normal, then what thickness? 3. What adhesive / grout is best for this.(Ceramic tiles, don't know the size yet). Finally, is the Mapei all in one shower kit suitable for tanking this? Any help would be appreciated.

you can use standard plasterboard at 12.5mm and tank or if you want to strengthen further 15mm (9.5mm has too much flex in most cases)

Go for a flexible cement based (bagged) adhesive and flexible grout

Ok, thanks.
Re fixing the plaster board. My wall is half stud and half solid wall. I was going to screw the board to the wood, then use adhesive and masonary nails to fix it to the solid side. ( I like to over engineer!).
Does that sound ok?
