I have just removed some tiles from a floor that were put down on moisture resistant chipboard. In the course of removing the tiles the chipboard has come away with the adhesive in some cases whereas in other places the adhesive hasnt come away. I believe the old adhesive is rapid set - its very hard whatever it is. I'm faced with a decision to either spend alot of time trying to remove all the adhesive (and most likely damaging the floor further) or to put some sort of self levelling compound over (I can afford to raise the height of the room).

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best course of action?

I then want to lay electric underfloor and re-tile the floor.

And if the floor is damaged then best lifting and replacing mate...

Any pics off the floor and damage....(maybe,just maybe... a slc latex based, FBall green bag with 114)....but first....
What type size off tile you propose on fixing to floor?...

What's the joist spacing as well...600mm?...if so there will probably be deflection in the floor?,also what's the span as well..(width ect off the room)...


Lots to think about...eh...do it right with the proper materials and it will last,if not ...well..
