They were a lot cheaper when they were yellow and wolf branded and came with a load of tools and a hose thrown in (the accessory kit which is now an extra £20). Still not a bad compressor though. You may want to change it all over to the UK fittings instead of the euro quick release fittings if you get one though as thats what any tools you already have or buy elsewhere will use and extra euro ones are hard to get hold of.

is this compressor good enough to power my air gun to undo wheel nuts crank pulley bolts ect on cars?? or is it more for just spraying?? dont know much about compressors...

It should be ok for most impact wrenches etc.

The air displacement on that model is 9.5CFM


The impact wrench they sell is 4.5CFM so if yours is similar it should be fine

Just don't bother using the supplied hose or buy any of the other air lines from there, they are 4 or 6mm internal diameter, which is pointless for an impact gun. Buy a hose that that has a 9 or 10mm bore and change the fittings as already suggested

Very easy to change. Just need a spanner (sometimes 2) some PTFE tape and the fitting.
Most tool places sell them. Machine mart, screwfix, toolstation ...almost anywhere.

The regulator/filter/lubricator is SHOCKING and I would strongly recommend you do not buy it.

Just finished installing it on my 3hp 100l comp. First off its air leak central! Even with wraps of PTFE it just leaks for fun. Especially out of the water drain valve.

Secondly and worst of all, it's bloody dangerous! Turning the regulator knob up to a modest 7 bar to use an impact gun, the knob itself BLEW OFF in my hand at 7 bar! Scared the s**t out of me, springs and parts flying past my face!

Maybe I was just really unlucky to pick a faulty one but, building a reg valve to deal with 9 bar out of elcheapo plastic seems like a design fault. Will be returning in the morning.

S24_SDJ is talking about an add on extra available seperately from Aldi at this time for £19.99, not the compressor its self. Does not mean the compressor is any better although the yellow ones they used to sell that appear identical were not bad ..unless you got a bad one then you took it back.

I was thinking of getting the nail gun, it claims to drive 50 mm nails, could be useful.

Hmm, I have one ..or 2 of those exact ones. Long story. They work for me if regularly oiled as per the manual. They use staples and pins (almost headless wire brads) Just don't expect it to be firing in anything even close to what you would normally call a 2" nail! Also check the price of the 'nails' before you buy the tool. £10 gets you something not much bigger than a matchbox full! (ok a bigish matchbox) Now it contains typically 5000 and 5000 2" nails would cost about the same but they would weigh a hell of a lot more just it comes as a shock the first time you buy some.

Both points answered! I wondered about that, actually I'm more a screwer than a nailer, so I'll leave the gun in Aldi.

Sorry, yeah, it was the separate filter and lubricator.

First time I've had to return something to Aldi and I must say I'm impressed. Couldn't apologise enough!
