belle 130 minimix problems

hi there i recently bought a 2nd hand 2007 130 minimix mixer, after getting it home and starting a mix i got it half loaded with ballast and it started to slow and then ground to a halt. i came to the conclusion that it was the motor that was knackered and ordered a new one. after fitting the new motor it still did exactly the same, would run for a few seconds to a minute and then die off and grind to a halt with a humming sound like the motor was straining. i did some more research online and read a few posts and people said that the switch could be causing this problem so i ordered a new switch and fitted it yet it still does exactly the same and im about ready for launching it into the nearest river!
if anyone could help with any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated as im at a dead end with what to try next.

thanks dave

defo a 130? with the motor inline with the drum so theres no gear box?

have you checked the ring gear? we had to replace the ring gear on one we had. we got rid of ours like haha

Does it have a capacitor on it?

If it does then it is likely that the capacitor needs replacing.

thanks for the replies. ive finally sorted it tonight. i took it all apart again to look it all over and i noticed that the die cast casing of the motor had split! this was a new motor and must have had a week spot in the casting so i salvaged the old casing from the dead motor and replaced it but you shouldnt have to do it with a genuine oe motor but its not something i could prove and the manufacturers would just give the standard cold shoulder.
thanks again
