Whos a clever cameron then
I have to give him credit,he asks drivers to keep there tanks topped up in the event the tankers drivers do go on strike, this in turn sparks a panic buy some garages reporting sales up 300% in the last 2 days, garages increase the fuel price from 137 to 143.9 would anyone care to calculate how much our beloved pm has swelled his coffers with this brief statement

Re: Whos a clever cameron then
I seem to remember that in the 1950s naphtha was added to petrol to make supplies go further. I wonder if it would still work
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

Re: Whos a clever cameron then
i think its better than that
forget the money side they are getting everybody to top up so if anything happens [a strike] all cars are well stocked up as are the petrol pumps [in anticipation ] so makes the job easier for the soldiers manning tankers as theres now a glut

I'm not falling for it, panic buying will only make the strikes if they happen worse.. plus I can always work from home if i cant get petrol.

It'll all even itself out over the next few weeks when people DON'T buy fuel coz their cars are already full!

Re: Whos a clever cameron then
the old jalopy gets filled approx every 3 weeks giving about 50 to the gallon, it looks crap, has the acceleration of continental drift but at that mileage I'll be keeping it till it dies

Re: Whos a clever cameron then
Chucked in £80 this morning. Was going to do it Wednesday evening as normal, but far far too busy.
Happened to wake up early this morning so went via the local Morrisons.
No panic buying, just filling up when i'm nearing empty, as per normal
I hear Petrol increased by 80odd%, but only 40odd% percent for diesel. Goes to show that people who do most miles (chances are they have diesel vehicles/commercial vehicles) havn't hoarded the fuel, and carried on as normal.
