Got two today from different persons.

ww.ghot.in/wp-content/themes/ etc and sent to 7 addresses.

ww.354design.co/wp-content/themes/ etc and sent to 6 addresses

Deleted both without opening, any idea what they are. :dunno:

spam - delete them as you have done.

Could range from phishing attempts, fake sites, malicious scripts waiting on the sites to execute, re-directs, popups, place holders, trackers, pages to verify the email is valid when you land to gather active email addresses, many more

I get about 50+ a day on my work email - drives me nuts. That's excluding the 200+ that land in my junk folder.

Ghot.in is a indian dating site

354 design looks like it could be after Facebook logins as it asks to sign in to face book from the link
We are currently building a new site which will be ready soon. In the mean time you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook to stay updated on our progress.

Would the sender be infected, I know the first sender, and it included both my email addresses.

The second sender Not sure I have communicated with.

Maybe.

It's so easy to forge sender address. If you get lots, let them know - if it's just the odd one, just delete and forget.

I get a similar amount. It's a real pain if you go away for a few days and switch the computer on to see thousands of emails

They could be compromised Wordpress sites, the URL structure gives the game away (wp-content). My guess is that whoever performed the installs for these, didn't use unique salt keys enabling the site's to be compromised. This in turn gives access to the site's smtp services via PHP from which a hell of a lot of spam can be sent.
