ive had a temp program running on the PC all been ok.
Ive been looking at the power supply, done a test on it with multi meter.
It looks like this is the problem, some of the voltages were out on the 20 pin plug all the Red leads 5v +/- range was 5.69v, max sholud be 5.2v.
On the 4 pin two yellow leads 12v +/- was 10.51v min should be 11.4v, put new power supply in,will see.
Will keep u informed
Thanks

What do you mean by "it only turns off in normal mode" and "When it kicks up there appears to be no bleeps."?
If you've got a new power supply it may be a problem with the motherboard. Do you get any messages etc. before the PC turns off, or does it just shut off as if you've turned the plug off at the wall?

Can you clarify that the PC starts up correctly (eg boots into an OS) and it powers off after a certain amount of time? Have you looked inside the event logs to see if there are any clues as to the cause - start->run->eventvwr will bring it up for you?
Is this a new PC build you have just put together?
The problem with just running the PC in "bios" mode is that your not really stessing your machine enough to generate any heat in order to test if its overheating thats casuing the switching off.
We use a suite of free tools available on the "Ultimate Boot CD"
http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
Download and burn the ISO into a CD or put the contents into a bootable thumb drive. Boot from the CD/thumb drive. From the options which has several tools, you could select mainboard tools and then StressCPU test from there to stress test your CPU. There are a host of other useful utilites and one may highlight your issue.
PS. Dont discount memory failure too - try Memtest. A bad stick can cause all kind of failures
PPS.. Types in "GeForce6100SM-M shuts down" in google and there were a few posts. As i dont know the complete nature of your problem this may or may not help you.

Yep been there -changed this and that but never got it sorted
Put me right off AMD cpu's Very annoying when you've been working on cad or p/shop hours of work lost
anyways updating
Graphics ,drivers and the
bios may help as It seemed to do it less -I nearly went for water cooling but not worth it
good luck

I've built hundreds of PC's with AMD cpu's in them, there's never been a fault with one.
It's the other components - a CPU is a solid chip, you need to burn it out, destroy a contact or crack the chip inside to stop it from working... not an easy task!
with regards to water cooling, it's rarely ever needed, a £60 HSF will do an adequate job. I've got a full internal water loop in my home PC, which is used for web dev, graphics & cad - keeps the i7 nice and cool, but at around £500 for the whole set up, I think I would have been just as well off with a corsair H50 :P
back to the topic,
sounds like a memory error to me, run memtest 96 (boot from disk) and let it check your RAM.
another good way to test ram is to remove all sticks, label them 1-4 (or however many you have) and insert each of them into the DIMM slots, starting at 0 and report how they do.
it's an arduous way to do it, but it's proven to work.
once you work out which of the sticks are working, then try using them in pairs.
Cheers,
Matt

Test memory as previously said.
If not I'd test internal temps with a probe, could be a dodgey heat sensor.

It could be going into sleep mode. Check your power options under system maintenance in the control panel.
