moisture barrier equivelant

Post by Topjacket »

Hello All

I am having walnut worktops delivered and fitted this week but the company we got them from didn't have any of the moisture/heat barrier sheet in stock (I think this is the correct name, basically its the stuff you stick under the worktop to stop dishwashers and washing machines affecting the wood).

I thought that this would be something I could pick up at screwfix or B&Q but it seems I was wrong. With time being an issue does anyone know if there is product that could be used as an equivelant that can be bought in a shop and not mail order?

I was wondering if the radiator reflectors would be any good?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

Jim
