Some of you will be interested, others will not and Welsh Decorator will have to try and control himself when he sees the first couple of Pics .....

Few pics from the South-West Kit Car Show held this weekend.

Couple of V8 Engines that would get fitted into AC Cobra replicas..........

A Few Cobras replicas .......

From the US Muscle Car style to the more traditional Porsche Speedster 356 Replicas - the 356 is the car James Dean killed himself in ......

This one is VW beetle based and has been sold for £28,000 - fantastic example of a Speedster replica.

This one is a bit odd - it is a Speedster replica - sort of! . Made in a factory on France based on Peugeot mechanicals. £30k for one of these!

Bit more Bling up your street? Ferrari replica based on a Toyota MR2 Mk II. The MR2 is a popular donor vehicle for Ferrari replicas die to the mid-engined configuration.

Image

Traditional Gentlemans Sporting Car- these could be based stylewise on Roadsters from the 1930's through to late 50's. Donor cars and mechanicals vary a lot as well.
These two took part in a Spain to Sangiago (Chile) rally just a couple of months ago - not bad for a kit car!

Getting a touch more modern - Jaguar XK Replica

Image

And finally - not a kit car, but a proper production vehicle - the Bond Bug! (think I would prefer the kit cars myself  ). If I remember correctly, these could be driven on a motobke license and for that reason were pretty popular

Not been to MPH myself. I think I am getting old - I like Top Gear but the burning rubber bits don't do it for me anymore

You go for the V8 power, huh  I think the AC Cobra was the fastest road car built when it came out.
You could swap the Astra for one :-)

I like the purity and simplicity of the 356 Speedster myself

No idea what that car was but I like the curves and colour. I also like the Aston Martin but I don't think teacher's wages will stretch that far! When I lived in London a neighbour had a Morgan and it was a beauty. Think I'll do the Lottery on Wednesday.
