justeat.co.uk | Godfather pizza shop Darwen

Post by ultimatehandyman »

We have used justeat.co.uk a few times in the past and most of the time the order has gone through with no problems and the food has always arrived, even though it can take 10-15 mins longer than ringing the shop directly.

Last night we placed an order at the Godfather pizza shop in Darwen via just eat, the order was paid for on my debit card and was ordered at 19:15 the expected delivery time was 19:55 which is slow as normally you can get a pizza delivered in about 20-30 mins if you phone up.

To be honest I do not like the food from the Godfather in Darwen as in the past they have sent out pizzas that are overcooked, but Angie likes one particular pizza from their that the other shops do not sell.

At 20:15 the order had not arrived so Angie phoned the Godfather to see where it was and they said they had not received the order from just eat, which is weird because they have to actually accept the order in the shop before you get a delivery time. Angie then phoned just eat who said that they had accepted the order and so had definitely received it, just eat then phoned the God father. The said sorry and said they would send out a 12 inch garlic bread for free ( their garlic bread is crap anyway so it would go straight in the bin). They said they would rush the order through and that it would be with us quickly. Ironically the godfather told her that they had their own website that we could order from now instead of using justeat.co.uk ::b

At 21:15 there was still no sign of food, so Angie phones the Godfather again and is waiting on the phone for a few minutes when someone tells her that the food is just coming out of the oven ::b ::b

The order finally arrived at 21:45 whilst Angie was on the phone to just eat ::b ::b ::b

Then when it arrived they had managed to overcook the f*cking pizza

Moral of the story is never use justeat.co.uk and pay via your debit card (if we had chosen cash we could of told them to shove the pizza up their arse and gone elsewhere) and don't use the Godfather pizza shop in Darwen when there are much better pizza shops in the area

We used to use pizza hut a lot. If it wasn't delivered on time you could get a free one next time.
The road name where we lived was used twice in different areas of the city. Dont specify which one, unless they ask, and it would go to the other one 75% of the time, might be 10 mins late, but a free one next time :thumbleft:
Lots of free pizzas :thumbright: :thumbright:
