some of you may think this silly but i have this annoying sister who gets away with alot and when she gets in always switchs on the heating full blast i can open a window and swtch my radiator off but because the hot water pipes go under my room and it is a box room it turns my room into a furnace. can u get a security code system where u have to punch in a code before swtching the heating on or something and if not may i suggest it because belive me it can make a huge difference in saving on energy cause my sister isn't the only princess out there

I would've thought showing your Dad the gas bill would do it

Trouble is if she's as spoilt as you say they would give her the code anyway

I've never heard about gadgets like this. I recommend you to have a conversation on this topic with whole family. There may be some easier solutions.

As a thought are the radiators in the rooms she goes in turned up full? I am wondering if they are low and then the thermostat has to heat up the whole house to heat the room she is in?

all the other radiators are on full so that is not the case.
its not a michanical problem i have its just a princess wasting gas

You could fit weather compensation and set it to 18c, then it wouldn't matter how much she plays with it.

Of course turning the stat down on the rad in your room would be the easy way to control the temperature in your room.

Do you have room thermostat ? Turn it down!! If she dont know about that she will think something is wrong with the system tells your dad, and when he has a look at it, quickly turn it back up so when he checks it works lol!
